The Crimea bridge was opened on May 16. With a length of 19 km, it is the longest bridge in Russia. It connects continental Russia with the Crimean peninsula. Since March 2014, after the reunifi cation of Crimea with Russia, the main transportation route across the Kerch strait was by ferry. The cost of construction was $3.7 billion. The opening of the bridge rapidly increased the fl ow of tourists
to the peninsula. Over just the fi rst six days, more than 276 cars with tourists drove over the bridge.
