You can now take a tour of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, where several themed itineraries have been developed. One is “Taming the Fire”, a tour of the blast furnace, the largest in Russia, and its heavy-duty hot mill. Visitors have to go through introductory safety training, use individual protective gear, and follow simple but compulsory rules. Tours cost from $11 per person.
